About the Origin

Umoja is Swahili for “solidarity”. Grown in the South Kivu Province of Congo, this coffee represents the hard work of the Congolese people. By working with Congolese coffee farmers we are helping provide stability in the coffee sector in a region that is often fraught with coffee smuggling. For many of the people in the South Kivu Province, coffee is a key source of income and helps promote rights for marginalized groups.

Fresh Quality

We’re committed to providing our customers with fresh, high-quality coffee for an excellent value. All of our coffee is small batch roasted daily in our Joper® roasters. We roast to order, carefully developing each coffee’s unique flavor notes using specific times and temperatures. Each order is packaged for maximum freshness and shipped within 24 hours of coming out of the roaster. You can’t get much fresher than that.
